Research and practice

At Solenya, Marcus built a nine-person technical team, production AI infrastructure and experiments to measure commercial impact. His doctoral research at UCT asks how company information can reveal economic relationships and shared financial risk.

Mathematically explicit
State what a model assumes and where its conclusions stop.
Computationally reproducible
Keep the route from data and code to results inspectable.
Empirically testable
Design experiments that leave room for the hypothesis to be wrong.
Operationally useful
Build research that withstands scrutiny and software that withstands use.
